NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: George Petty Condition: fair to good. The poster had paper loss at the middle crossfold and tears, tiny paper loss, pinholes, and stains scattered down the vertical foldline, and a lesser amount on the horizontal folds. There were many pinholes, tears, and faint stains around the edges of the poster. There was damage across the tagline below the title as though as snipe was once glued over that area. There were tears and stains across the center of the face of the girl at lower left. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. The person who backed the poster did very little restoration to the above defects. Another restorer could certainly perform additional restoration to this poster (either with or without re-backing it), but certainly, it would require a significant amount of paint restoration to make the poster look good. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above or are willing to pay to have them properly restored! Learn More about condition grades
