An Original Vintage Exhibitor Magazine (measures 10" x 14"; 68 pages) (Learn More) The Billboard, one of the trade magazines sent to movie theater owners and legitimate theater owners (it was founded in 1894, when there were no movies yet!) in the 1910s and 1920s ("The Theatrical, Motion Picture and Show World Review"; "The World's Foremost Amusement Weekly"). Each magazine measured approximately 10" x 14", and each contained around 100 pages. Each weekly issue would be filled with lots and lots of information of interest to anyone in the various entertainment worlds (movies, theater, circus, carnivals, magic, etc.). Note that in the 1930s, it began having heavier and heavier coverage of the music industry, and in 1961, it started to solely cover the music industry, including the famous "Billboard Charts"! But for 68 years before that, it had covered all types of entertainment. Note that these exhibitor magazines were ONLY sent to theater owners, and the general public never had a chance to buy them. But most theater owners treated them like old newspapers, throwing them away after the movies had played. Consequently, they are extremely rare, especially those from the 1930s and before! Important Added Info: Note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and also pictures of one or more interior two-page spreads (but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine. Please realize that there were only a few ads in each magazine, and that the bulk of each magazine is taken up by stories about current productions and other information of interest to theater owners (and I don't know that this information can be found anywhere else or that it has been reproduced in any book since its first publication!). Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. Condition: good to very good. Note that we have attempted to check to see if the magazine is complete and uncut, and we believe that it is. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazine.
