An Unfolded Travel Poster (measures 25" x 40" [64 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) TWA: India, the 1950s - 1960s (see below) airline airplane aviation travel poster ("Fly TWA") encouraging people to use TWA (Trans World Airlines) when traveling to India. Note that this poster features David Klein artwork of a bejeweled elephant. As was common with travel posters, there are multiple versions of this poster which have the same Klein artwork, but feature a different airplane. The 1950s version shows a Lockheed Constellation propeller-driven aircraft, while the 1960s version shows the outline of a jet. Artist: David Klein Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has slight discoloration along approximately 5" of the upper edge due to exposure to moisture (see our image). It has a 3" tear at upper center and a few tiny creases, tears and pinholes along portions of the lower edge and those are backed by tape as well. There are some diagonal creases at lower right. It is otherwise in generally nice condition and after linenbacking the very rare poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
