Date Sold 10/30/2007Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 7 Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Cards (measure 11" x 14") (Learn More) Conquest of Space, the 1955 Byron Haskin science fiction (sci-fi) outer space astronaut thriller ("See how it will happen ...in your lifetime!"; produced by George Pal; "Based on the book by Chesley Bonestell and Willy Ley", who were both highly acclaimed science fiction/science fact writers; the writers were very correct that it would happen in "your" lifetime; they correctly predicted a space station, and they were off on the timing of a manned Mars expedition, but that is likely coming soon, and there was a movie recently made about that, called "The Martian"!) starring Walter Brooke, Eric Fleming, Mickey Shaughnessy, Phil Foster, William Redfield, William Hopper, Benson Fong, Ross Martin, and Joan Shawlee NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good to very good. The card that is in the lower right of our image has had 1 1/2" neatly trimmed from its right blank border. That card, and the card in the bottom left of the image has much writing on the back, but it does not affect the front. The card that is second from top left in our image has a large stain in the upper right. The card in the top left of our image has some very faint staining scattered throughout the image.
