An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29" x 43 1/2" [74 x 110 cm]) (Learn More) Europa di notte (released in the U.S. as "European Nights"), the 1959 Alessandro Blasetti French/Italian mondo-like night-life exploitation documentary ("The night life of Europe comes to town ...in this great color spectacular!"; "Join the after-dark-to-dawn cabaret whirl and thrill to some of the world's brightest entertainers!") featuring Carmen Sevilla, Domenico Modugno, The Platters (the rock and roll music band including David Lynch [NOT the famous director!], Herb Reed, Paul Robi, Zola Taylor, and Tony Williams), Channing Pollock, Henri Salvador, Coccinelle, Robert Lamouret, The Rastellis, Colin Hicks, Hans-Joachim Kulenkampff, Lily Niagara, and narrated by Henry Morgan. Note that this was one of the approximately 100 "sexy nocturne" mondo style documentaries that were produced between 1959 and 1970, mainly in Italy. They are documentaries that include segments of strippers, which allowed them to include nudity that had formerly only been seen in nudist movies. The strippers are shown performing their acts, and there was an attempt to film them artistically. Most of these films contain one or more of the words "world", "night", "sexy", "girls", etc. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. All of the borders were folded back and stapled. The poster had paper loss and tears scattered down the vertical fold, and many creases and small tears on the horizontal folds. There were pinholes, tears, and paper loss around the edges. There was a distributor logo in the bottom right corner and it was blacked over. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
