eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2s102 IVANHOE WC '52 art of pretty Elizabeth Taylor, Robert Taylor & Joan Fontaine! Date Sold 11/27/2016Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Ivanhoe, the 1952 Richard Thorpe English/U.S. medieval romantic adventure epic ("MGM presents Sir Walter Scott's Famed Novel!"; "At last on the screen! Biggest Spectacle since 'Quo Vadis'"; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Robert Taylor (in the title role as Ivanhoe), Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine, George Sanders, Emlyn Williams, Norman Wooland (as King Richard), Finlay Currie, Felix Aylmer, Harold Warrender (as Robin of Locksley/Robin Hood), Robert Douglas, Basil Sydney, and Guy Rolfe (as Prince John) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that MGM at this time (for unknown reasons) printed their window cards with almost a full bleed to the bottom edge (meaning that the color from the bottom of the image extended almost to the very edge of the bottom border). Since these window cards have almost no bottom blank white border, some people mistakenly assume they have been trimmed, but they have NOT! Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
