Berkeley was the original director who was replaced by Charles Walters who was replaced by George Sidney. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: As noted above, Judy Garland was originally cast as the lead in this movie, but she was fired and replaced by Betty Hutton due to her personal problems. One can only imagine how very different this movie would have been with her in the lead. Because she was fired early in the filming, no posters or lobby cards were created with her billed or shown, but these incredibly rare two wardrobe test photos WERE created, and they are the only items from this movie showing Judy Garland that we have ever auctioned! Note also that we have pictured the backs of these stills (see our images). Condition: good. The still with Garland in the cowgirl outfit has many creases and scuffs and a couple of pinholes at top left. The other still has some creases and a few small tears around the edges. Please see our images of the front and back of each still. Learn More about condition grades
