Road Gang, the 1936 Louis King crime thriller ("Can such things happen in America today?"; written by Dalton Trumbo) starring Donald Woods, Kay Linaker, Carlyle Moore Jr., Joseph Crehan, Henry O'Neill, and Joe King. Obviously, this movie was an attempt to cash in on the great success of Warner Bros. earlier hit, "I Am a Fugitive from a Chain Gang", and this movie borrows heavily from that one, although with a much happier ending (but sadly, without a top star like Paul Muni!).
