The World Cry: Food, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("The Spirit of '18"; "Keep the Home Garden going"; "United States Food Administration") encouraging people to grow their own food to contribute to the war effort, and featuring William McKee art of farmers with their crops. Note that the art and tagline allude to the famous "Spirit of '76" painting by Archibald MacNeal Willard.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the middle of the fold, with with uneven creases in the top 3" of the poster. It had tiny paper loss and a tiny tear in the center of the bottom border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
