An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Top Gun, the classic 1986 Tony Scott U.S. Navy Naval aviation military romantic airplane aircraft F-14 Tomcat jet fighter pilot action thriller ("Up there with the best of the best.") starring Tom Cruise (as Maverick), Val Kilmer (as Iceman), Kelly McGillis (as Charlie), Anthony Edwards (as Goose), Tom Skerrit (as Viper), Michael Ironside (as Jester), John Stockwell (as Cougar), Tim Robbins (as Merlin), Meg Ryan (as Carole; in her third movie role!), and Wendy Wells-Gunkel NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that a paper snipe was glued to the back of the still, and then folded over to the front. This was done rather than gluing the snipe to the back, so that the snipe could be unfolded and the still could be displayed with the snipe unfolded, which would let moviegoers read the information on the snipe in the lobby (and of course, the snipe would be folded backwards, so it would not show). This was done with many stills of the 1930s, but often, the snipes are either partially or completely lost, because it is easier for them to be torn off. UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, THE SNIPE DOES NOT HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE FRONT OF THE STILL! Condition: very good to fine. There are a very few faint emulsion scuffs scattered around the edges of the still, but they are truthfully not at all noticeable except when the still is tilted to the light.
