An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Back from the Front, the 1943 Jules White World War II (WWII) anti-Nazi slapstick comedy short ("A new high slapstick in comedy!"; "Story and Screen Play by Jack White [and] Ewart Adamson"; the Stooges are survivors of a sunken American ship during World War II; their life raft ends up floating them to a German Nazi battleship, and they must disguise themselves as Nazi leaders to capture the ship) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curly Howard), Stanley Blystone, Neal Burns, Sally Cairns, Tom Coleman, and Heinie Conklin. Note that the one-sheet poster for this movie features a life preserver which has both a swastika and "S.S. SHICKELGRUBER" on it (Shicklgruber was the name that Adolf Hitler was said to have been born with, since his parents were never married and his mother 's last name was Shicklgruber)! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm]. Note that this still likely has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that 160 of the stills in this set of auctions come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of almost his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of those stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us! Condition: good to very good. There are some tiny brown stains scattered around the edges, but the still is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
