An Original Vintage Autographed Song Folio (measures 4 1/4" x 6" when folded; 21 pages; measures 6" x 40 1/2" when completely unfolded) (Learn More) Roy Acuff was a country music singer and fiddler from the 1930s to the 1990s. He was known as the "King of Country Music" and helped make the format international successful. He had an unsuccessful bid for Governor of Tennessee in 1948 and in 1962, Acuff became the first living inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Some of his works include: Songs of the Smoky Mountains, Hymn Time, and I Saw The Light AND Beecher Ray Kirby (better known as "Bashful Brother Oswald") was a country music musician who played the resonator guitar and Dobro. He was a member of Roy Acuff's Smoky Mountain Boys as well as a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a 4x6 song folio that has 21 "pages" inside that are printed on a single sheet, but folded accordion fashion) has been personally autographed (signed) by BOTH Roy Acuff AND Beecher Ray Kirby (Bashful Brother Oswald)! Mr. Acuff signed on the back of the folio and Kirby signed on an interior picture of himself (as "Oswald"). Note that our consignor purchased this from a collection of a serious western music collector. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signatures to be authentic.
