A LAMINATED 1951 Realart Re-Release Theatrical Laminated Movie Lobby Card #4 (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Mummy, the classic 1932 Karl Freund Universal Ancient Egypt romantic monster horror thriller ("It comes to life!"; "The most amazing make-up ever achieved"; "Story by Nina Wilcox Putnam and Richard Schayer") starring Boris Karloff ("The Uncanny"; in the title role as Imhotep the Mummy), Zita Johann, David Manners, Edward Van Sloan, Arthur Byron, Bramwell Fletcher, and Noble Johnson (as The Nubian) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of the most desirable Realart lobby cards there is, because it has a wonderful full-color close up of Boris Karloff. It is laminated (see below), but that is because it was in the collection of legendary horror/sci-fi fan Forrest J. Ackerman (a sticker on the back says so, and it was on the card prior to being laminated; see our image). Also note that this lobby card has been laminated! It is quite likely that there is no way to reverse this process. However, I have seen many lobby cards that have been laminated for over 20 years, and the lamination does not hurt the cards in any way, plus it seems to completely protect them, while allowing them to be easily displayed with no fear of damage. HOWEVER, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THIS LOBBY CARD UNLESS YOU WANT TO PURCHASE A LAMINATED LOBBY CARD! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. Prior to being laminated, the card had pinholes in the corners, with tiny paper loss near the center of the left border and in the bottom right corner. It also had paper loss in the top right corner, very slightly extending into the green background. After it was laminated, it acquired a light crease in the upper left corner, slightly extending into the blue background (see our images).
