An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Sari Maritza (born Patricia Detering-Nathan) was an English actress (her father was an English diplomat and her mother was Austrian, and she was born while her father was stationed in China) from the 1930s. She worked for UFA (the German film giant), and she appeared in a few movies that were released simultaneously in German and in English. Paramount thought she had potential to be another Dietrich or Garbo, and they promoted a fake Austrian background, with her stage name. She appeared in a few Paramount movies in the 1930s, and then she quit, announcing that she realized "she couldn't act". She married a Paramount executive, passing away in 1987 at the age of 77, 53 years after her final film! Condition: good to very good. There are paper remnants down the left border, where a piece of paper was once glued. The still is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
