An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Style B Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More) Beyond the Blue Horizon, the 1942 Alfred Santell tropical island romantic jungle adventure melodrama (sort of "Tarzan" in reverse, where a girl is shipwrecked on a tropical island, and her parents are killed, so she grows up alone in an island jungle, and she is rescued, and no one believes her, so she leads an expedition back to the island to prove her story) starring Dorothy Lamour, Richard Denning, Jack Haley, Patricia Morison, Walter Abel, Helen Gilbert, Elizabeth Patterson, and Gogo (the chimpanzee!). Note that Dorothy Lamour wore her trademark sarong in this movie! Also note that there is a scene in the movie where Richard Denning lures a rampaging elephant to the edge of a cliff, and then he swings on a vine, and the elephant follows him, and plunges to its death. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There are various defects around the edges of the poster, and there is wear, small areas of paper loss and several areas of separation along the foldlines and/or crossfold. Some of the tears and/or defects described above are repaired with tape from the back. There are some stains around the edges of the poster. Some of the separation is approximately 6" in length.
