An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French Movie Poster (measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) Bout de Zan S'Amuse (literally translates to "Bout de Zan Has Fun"), the 1913 Louis Feuillade French silent comedy short (about two couples visiting, and their five children put on their parents clothes and sing and dance together) starring Renee Carl and Rene Poyen (in the title role as Bout-de-Zan). It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. The film is available for viewing on Youtube! Note that Louis Feuillade was one of the most important early French directors! He directed Fantomas in 1913 and Les Vampires in 1915, and it is estimated that he directed over 800 movies! More important, he is credited with being the first to direct "thrillers", and it is clear that Alfred Hitchcock, Fritz Lang, and many other directors were students of Feuillade. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper from this Louis Feuillade movie is incredibly rare, and this has great art of kids playing dress up with their parents' clothes while in their play room. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we received this French poster, which is a "country of origin" poster for this French movie! This is an extremely rare pre-World War II French poster! Virtually no French posters survive from before, during, or right after World War II. Apparently there were many paper shortages in France during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all pre-World War II posters! Condition: good.
