Important Added Info: Not many people can afford the multi-thousand dollar original one-sheet from this classic movie, but this re-release one-sheet (printed from the same plates, except that it is one color) is a very attractive alternative, because it will cost a fraction as much as the original! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had some tiny tears and surface paper loss in the left of the top foldline, with a lesser amount on other folds and in the borders. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
