An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Dunked in the Deep, the 1949 Jules White slapstick comedy short ("Hats off to the Stooges! They're funnier than ever!"; "Ahoy, Stooges! The merriest stowaways to ever sail the briny"; "A Columbia Short-Subject Presentation"; in this entry, the Stooges are tricked into becoming stowaways by a Russian spy) starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Shemp Howard), and Gene Roth. Note that this short reused a brief scene from 1934's "The Captain Hates the Sea" and also reused footage from 1946's "So's Your Antenna". After this movie was made, footage from it was reused in 1956's "Commotion on the Ocean".

Important Added Info: Note that while we have previously auctioned two one-sheets from this Three Stooges comedy short, we have never before auctioned a lobby card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: good to very good. The card had paper tape on the back of most of the top and bottom borders, with other paper tape in the center of the top and bottom borders. Someone removed much of the paper tape from the back, and in doing so, caused some surface paper loss and tears on the back of the card (or they were already there before the paper tape was put on). They put some clear tape on the back of parts of the top and bottom borders, where the tears and surface paper loss were. You can look at our scan of the back of the card and clearly see all of the above. From the front, the card has a pair of tiny staple holes in each corner, and some small tears and smudges around the edges, and it displays pretty well.
