Date Sold 7/4/2023Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Colin Clive was a French-born English actor of the 1930s. Of course, he is best known for being Henry Frankenstein in the 1930s Universal horror films starring Boris Karloff. Some of his other movies include: Journey's End, Mad Love, and The Widow from Monte Carlo. Sadly, Clive was an alcoholic, and his drinking hastened his death in 1937 at the age of 37. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been trimmed and it now measures 7" x 9" [18 x 23 cm]. It is a portrait of Clive from the movie Frankenstein and it was used in a newspaper in 1938 (because there is a date stamp on the back), either because Clive had passed away the year before, or because Frankenstein was being reissued in 1938 on a double-bill. Condition: good. The still was trimmed around the edges. There are creases and scuffs scattered in the image. There is pencil writing on the back of the upper center that caused indentations on the front (in Clive's hair). Learn More about condition grades
