Date Sold 4/24/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Undated (probably mid-1960s) Re-Release Vintage Theatrical Folded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures 30" x 40" [76 x 102 cm]) (Learn More) The Magnificent Seven, the classic 1960 John Sturges cowboy western ("The Magnificent One!"; "They were seven... And then they fought like seven hundred..."; "The Matchless Seven...The Might Seven 'The Magnificent Seven'!"; "Seven... and they fought like seven hundred!"; a remake of the Japanese Akira Kurosawa classic, "The Seven Samurai"; about a Mexican village terrorized by bandits and they hire seven professional gunfighters to defend their town, by literally giving them everything they have of value) starring Yul Brynner (as "Chris Adams"), Eli Wallach (as "Calvera"), Steve McQueen (as "Vin"), James Coburn (as "Britt"), Charles Bronson (as "Bernardo O'Reilly"), Horst Buchholz (billed as "Introducing Horst Buchholz"; as Chico), Robert Vaughn (as "Lee"), Brad Dexter (as "Harry Luck"), Rosenda Monteros (as "Petra"), and Vladimir Sokoloff (as the "Old Man") NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this movie was given a quick English re-release in the mid-1960s, likely 1965 before the sequel was released to theaters in 1966. The 1960s re-release poster lacks a blue tint to the sky at the very top of the art, and is missing the word "Netherfield" from the Stafford printing information at bottom-right. Also, note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. The poster has tape stains around the edges (the original tape was not used for any restoration purpose) and some fold and border wear. There is a small glue stain at lower left under Brynner's name. It is otherwise in pretty good condition and after a relatively simple linenbacking the poster will look great! Learn More about condition grades
