Firestone soon saw the huge potential for marketing tires for automobiles, and the company was a pioneer in the mass production of tires. Harvey Firestone had a personal friendship with Henry Ford, and used this to become the original equipment supplier of Ford Motor Company automobiles, and was also active in the replacement market. Important Added Info: Note that this is a Swiss promo brochure that is undated, but it is likely from the early 1970s, and it profiles race car drivers who won races with Firestone tires (the races referenced are from 1968 to 1970, which is why we think it is surely from the early 1970s).
