A Linenbacked French Advertising Poster (measures 23 1/2" x 31 1/2" [60 x 80 cm]) (Learn More)

Soufre Gre Bordeaux, the 1933 French advertising poster. Some online references say that this poster is promoting the sulfur-rich soil of the Bordeaux region. However, a knowledgeable collector tells us that it is advertising an anti-fungal agricultural supplement to help grow healthy grapes! This poster features cool art of a cluster of presumably fungus-free grapes by Leon Dupin.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had faint staining in parts of the left edge of the left blank border and a line down part of the right blank border that looks to be a very minor printing defect. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
