An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) A Walter Lantz Cartune, the 1939 stock poster for use by theaters showing animated animation cartoon comedy shorts, and featuring art of many cartoon characters, including Oswald Rabbit, Andy Pandy, Baby Face, Clark Gobble, Clara Goose, Elmer the Great Dane, Meany, Miny & Mo the chimps, and more! Theaters would order these posters which had a blank area. Sometimes the studio would overprint the stock poster with the title of a specific movie, and sometimes they were sent a series of large paper snipes with the titles of specific entries of the series, so the theater could paste in each snipe as needed, thus getting many posters for the price of one. Of course, Walter Lantz would go on to create Woody Woodpecker the year after this poster was made, and that would alter his life and become his greatest creation! The poster had an extra vertical foldline 1" to the left of the regular foldline and there were some creases, tiny tears, smudges, and tiny paper loss in that extra foldline. There were also some creases, tiny tears, and tiny paper loss in parts of the regular foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster.
