An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style C One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Bathing Beauty, the 1944 George Sidney romantic aquatic swimming musical comedy ("M-G-M's mammoth Technicolor musical spectacle!") starring Red Skelton, Esther Williams, Basil Rathbone, Bill Goodwin, Ethel Smith, Jean Porter, Carlos Ramirez, Harry James & His Music Makers, Helen Forrest, Xavier Cugat & His Orchestra, and Lina Romay. Note that this was Esther Williams' first movie that focused on her great athletic swimming ability, and she was basically the star of the movie, even though she was second billed to much bigger star Red Skelton (and she was primarily the focus of all the movie advertising). The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds, pinholes and smudges in the borders, and some minor fold wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did little restoration to the blank border defects (likely rightfully assuming they will not show when the poster is framed).
