Note that the first movie based on Alex Raymond's great newspaper comic strip was "Flash Gordon" in 1936. It was followed by "Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars" in 1938, and then this movie in 1940. Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. There are two tears in the top border that extend into the chapter title, and they were repaired with tape from the front and back.
