Artist: Carlos Ruano-Llopis Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned this poster before (and we have also never auctioned the style A half-sheet)! Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that because this poster was paperbacked onto a thin paper backing, it can be sent rolled (however, it will be rolled with the image outward, because paperbacked posters should always be rolled that way, while linen posters are always rolled with the image inward), and it will likely need to be sent in a 6" tube, because rolling it more tightly might damage the poster. What IS paperbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. Prior to paperbacking, the poster was folded once in each direction and it had surface paper loss and creases along parts of both folds. It had many small stains and smudges around the edges, with small faint round water stains scattered in the top left, including in Hayworth's face and in her upper body. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Also, after it was backed, someone put a piece of tape on the center of the bottom border, and caused surface paper loss in that area, and there was a small piece of tape in the center of the top blank border that they left alone. If I owned this extremely rare poster, I would surely have additional restoration performed, but that will be up to the new owner! Learn More about condition grades
