An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) The Belle of New York, the 1952 Charles Walters New York City romantic musical comedy ("MGM's Gay Technicolor Musical!"; "Hear the stars sing the hits in the M-G-M records album"; "Adapted for the screen by Chester Erskine"; "From the play by Hugh Morton"; "Music by Harry Warren"; "Lyrics by Johnny Mercer") starring Fred Astaire, Vera-Ellen, Marjorie Main, Keenan Wynn, Alice Pearce, Clinton Sundberg, and Gale Robbins NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tiny holes at the crossfolds and minor wear on the borders. There was a 1" x 3" area of paper loss in the center of the left blank border, just extending into the solid black background. There were pinholes in the corners and some border defects.
