Bruce Humberstone World War II (WWII) Home Front military romantic musical comedy ("Based on a story by Libbie Block") starring Betty Grable, John Harvey, Martha Raye, Joe E. Brown, Eugene Pallette, Dorothea Kent, Hermes Pan, Doris Merrick, "Skating Vanities" (specialty ice skaters who appeared in this one movie), and Charlie Spivak and His Orchestra. Note that it was natural for Betty Grable to star in this movie, because she was the number one pin-up of servicemen during World War II! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: poor to fair. The poster was never folded, but it had many creases scattered in the left and right, and it had smudges, tears, and paper loss around the edges, with areas of surface paper loss scattered throughout, including in several of the stars' images. There was a 12" tear in the middle of the right border extending into the credits. Overall, the poster was in poor to fair condition prior to linenbacking. Either someone backed it with no real restoration, or it is slightly possible that much of the surface paper loss occurred after it was backed. In either case, do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its very major defects (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
