An Original Vintage Unfolded Subway Movie Poster (measures 45" x 59 1/2") (Learn More) Krakatoa East of Java, the 1969 Bernard Kowalski Cinerama seafaring tropical island volcano natural disaster epic adventure thriller ("Star-crossed lovers... Brave men and cowards... Lost children... Desperate fortune hunters... And YOU sharing each thrilling minute of the incredible day that shook the earth to its core!"; "You are there with the treasure hunters and love seekers locked together in fantastic adventure!"; "The incredible day that shook the earth to its core!"; "The NEW SUPER CINERAMA hurls YOU into the incredible day that shook the earth to its core!"; "The new CINERAMA hurls YOU into the incredible day that shook the earth to its core!"; "The day the mighty volcano Krakatoa erupts... and"; "YOU drop into it's fiery mouth!"; "YOU are engulfed by the terrifying tidal wave!"; "YOU desperately search for the lost children!"; "YOU outrun a raging river of molten lava!"; "YOU ARE THERE with the treasure hunters and love seekers locked together in fantastic adventure!"; "YOU are hurled into the incredible day that shook the Earth to its core!"; "Written by Clifford Gould and Bernard Gordon"; based on the real-life eruption, but Krakatoa is actually west of Java!; a highly fictionalized description of the greatest volcanic eruption in the history of the world) starring Maximilian Schell, Diane Baker, Brian Keith, Barbara Werle, John Leyton, Sal Mineo,"also starring" Rossano Brazzi, and Allen 'Farina' Hoskins. Note that in addition to other inaccuracies in the movie, Krakatoa is actually WEST of Java! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that Cinerama posters from this movie are very difficult to find. We have never seen this Cinerama subway poster before! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has uneven brown water staining in the top 1" to 4" of the poster (it is clearly visible in our super-sized image). There is a 1" tear in the left of the top blank border. There are a few tiny tears in the top and middle of the right blank border. Other than the water staining described above, the poster is in really nice condition (it was clearly never used and has a "crisp" feel to it!). If I owned this great poster, I would surely give it to a restorer, and since it is quite likely the water staining can be removed through chemical means, the poster will look incredible after a simple linenbacking, and it will likely have next-to-no restoration paint anywhere on it!
