An Autographed 3 1/2" x 8 1/2" [9 x 22 cm] Canceled Check (Learn More) Zeppo Marx (born Herbert Marx) was a comedian and actor from the 1920s to 1930s. He was one of the five Marx Brothers. His oldest brother Gummo left the act when they were still in vaudeville (he enlisted in the army, which tells you how much he wanted to leave the act!), and Zeppo somewhat took his place. He only appeared in their first four movies: Duck Soup, Horse Feathers, Monkey Business, and Animal Crackers. He left the act in 1933, and became a very successful agent to top Hollywood stars! He passed away in 1979 at the age of 78. Important Added Info: Note that this canceled check has been personally autographed (signed) by Zeppo Marx! Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
