Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, the classic 1965 Robert Wise (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) family musical (from the hit Broadway play by Rodgers & Hammerstein; "The happiest sound in all the world"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring Julie Andrews (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film; as Maria), Christopher Plummer (as Captain Von Trapp), Richard Haydn (as Max Detweiler), Peggy Wood (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Mother Abbess), Charmian Carr (as Liesl), Heather Menzies (as Louisa), Angela Cartwright (as Brigitta), The Bil Baird Marionettes, Eleanor Parker ("as The Baroness"), Duane Chase (as Kurt), Daniel Truhitte (as Rolfe), Nicholas Hammond, Debbie Turner, and Kym Karath

Important Added Info: Note that these are from the very rare "roadshow" lobby card set for this movie that was created in 1965. It has "released in TODD-AO" in the top right of the title card and the cards are undated (there are nine in the complete set). There are also lobby cards that have a 1966 NSS number and have "copyright 1967" on them, and those are from when the movie went into general release in 1967. The movie was re-released in 1969 (it was that popular!) and there are also cards from that re-release!

Condition: good to very good. Each has varying amounts of of rippling and slight discoloration in the lower two corners and some pinholes in the upper ones. Please see our super-sized images to get a good sense of the condition of these items prior to placing a bid.
