An Original Vintage Theatrical Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22") (Learn More)

Adventures in Africa, the 1931 Vitaphone nature documentary serial ("In Twelve 2 Reel Episodes"; "Produced under the supervision of Wynant D. Hubbard Fellow of the American Geographical Society author and Authority on African Wild Life"; "Synchronized witty dialogue by Edward T. Louse from copious notes which Mr. Hubbard made at the scene of the 'shots'."; "W. Earle Frank Cameraman") featuring Wynant D. Hubbard. Note that this was a series of twelve two-reel shorts created by Warner Bros. in 1931 and released to theaters one at a time (they would show an episode each week for twelve weeks, as with regular serials). In 1933, Warners created a feature version of this by combining the twelve shorts together, and it was re-titled "Untamed Africa". The window card is the first and only original U.S. movie paper item we have ever seen from either the two-reel shorts of this series or the feature version! If anyone knows more about this series, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: This window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded.

Condition: good to very good. There is faint water staining around the edges of the card extending into the edges of the image with some tears and tiny paper loss in small parts of the left and right borders.
