What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had paper loss in the middle of the horizontal fold, extending for around 3". It had many creases and some tears around the edges, extending into the image, with a long tear in the top border, extending down the right side of Beery's face. There is not paper loss in his face, but there is in the top blank border at the top of the tear. There are some tiny areas of paper loss in the right blank border that occurred after the poster was backed. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can clearly see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Of course, this rare poster can be re-backed and properly restored, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding on this rare poster. Learn More about condition grades
