An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Teaser French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 46 1/2" x 62" [118 x 157 cm]) (Learn More) The Artist, the 2011 Michel Hazanavicius (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Hollywood silent movie movie-making romantic comedy melodrama (winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; it opens in 1927 Hollywood, when a great silent film star's career is about to end because of the beginning of sound, and a young female actress' career is about to take off, for the same reason, and how a chance interaction between them leads to their lives being intertwined) starring Jean Dujardin (winner of the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Berenice Bejo (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), James Cromwell, Penelope Ann Miller, Malcolm McDowell, Missi Pyle, Beth Grant, Ed Lauter, Joel Murray, Ken Davitian, and John Goodman. Note that remarkably, this was a true silent film, with inter-titles, and while there is much music and sound effects, there are only a very few spoken words anywhere in the movie, and those are for comedic effect. Important Added Info: Note that this is a teaser French one-panel (note the complete lack of credits on the poster). Note that this poster must be sent in a tube that is 32" long or over (which is why it is in this set of auctions). You can tell how long the tube will need to be by adding 2 inches to the shorter dimension of the length or width (so 40x60s need to be sent in a 42 inch long tube, etc). Most of these posters (with the notable exception of paper banners) CAN be combined in the same tube together, with a few exceptions. Bear in mind that a very long tube (42 inches or longer) will cost a lot more to send than a 30" tube, so bear that in mind before bidding on this poster. Condition: very good.
