An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) International Squadron, the 1941 Lothar Mendes & Lewis Seiler World War II (WWII) military airplane aviation fighter pilot action thriller ("They'll climb to any ceiling in a flight! They'll reach for any danger in a flight!"; "Their countries are conquered... but not their courage!"; "Suggested by a play by Frank Wead"; "The foreign legion of the R.A.F.") starring Ronald Reagan, James Stephenson, Olympe Bradna, William Lundigan, and Joan Perry. Note that Joan Perry had been a former model who was discovered by Columbia head Harry Cohn. He put her in a bunch of movies, and then married her, and in 1941, she retired. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had tears, scuffs, and areas of paper loss on parts of several foldlines, and there were pinholes, stains, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the person who did the restoration simply put some solid colored restoration paint on the areas of paper loss in the borders and blank background areas. That paint was likely once somewhat of a match to the poster, but it is now white, and stands out quite a bit from the poster. Please do not bid on this poster unless you can accept its defects described above and have carefully looked at our super-sized image, or are willing to pay to have further restoration.
