An Original Vintage Theatrical Spanish Movie Herald (measures 3 3/4" x 6 1/4" [10 x 16 cm]) (Learn More) Anthony Adverse, the 1936 Mervyn LeRoy & Michael Curtiz 18th century Italy romantic love triangle adventure melodrama ("The biggest adventure between book covers becomes the greatest entertainment within theatre walls!"; from the novel by Hervey Allen; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; an epic story of a woman with an older husband and a younger lover; the husband kills the lover, but the woman is pregnant, and the husband leaves the baby at a convent, and when the baby grows up, he has many adventures of his own, including romantic ones) starring Fredric March (in the title role as Anthony Adverse), Olivia De Havilland, Anita Louise, Donald Woods, Claude Rains, Edmund Gwenn, Louis Hayward, Gale Sondergaard (winner of the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Steffi Duna, Billy Mauch, Akim Tamiroff, Ralph Morgan, Henry O'Neill, and George E. Stone NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Maybe I just have an impure mind, but the person who designed this herald sure SEEMED to want to have phallic imagery (let's give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it was subliminal)! Also note that when Spanish heralds have printing on the back, we picture both sides, but when they are blank on the back, we only picture the front. Note that we are currently offering a collection of 316 Spanish heralds, and this is far and away the best collection of these we have ever offered! It covers many decades and genres with many very popular titles. Please note that Spanish heralds sometimes are found with theater information on the back, and sometimes they are not printed on the back. Sometimes the ones with printing on the back have some "bleed through" to the front, especially in the light colored areas. If one of these heralds have noticeable bleed through, then we downgrade the condition (depending on how distracting or noticeable it is) even if the herald is otherwise in excellent condition (and it may be that all known examples of that herald have printing on the back, so it may only be found that way). Please look at our super-sized image of heralds that have printing on the back to see how much it affects the front (if at all). When you look at the super-sized image, you may notice that the image appears somewhat "blurry". This is because we are taking a small herald and blowing up the image so that you can see the condition, but in the process, the image can become slightly distorted or blurry, so please realize that this is only the image, and not the herald itself. Condition: very good. Learn More about condition grades
