The marine who had been thru Hell and Sister Angela with her supreme faith in God"; "Based on the novel by Charles Shaw"; about a Marine who falls for a nun while on an island in the South Pacific, but she remains dedicated to her faith) starring Deborah Kerr (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film) and Robert Mitchum (in the title role as Corporal Allison; Kerr and Mitchum are the only credited actors in the movie despite having a cast that portrayed Japanese soldiers!)
