An Autographed Color 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Publicity Still (Learn More) Neil Armstrong was a U.S. test pilot and astronaut from the 1950s to 1970. He has appeared on many television (TV) shows and voiced a character in Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey; however, he is most famous for being the first person to walk on the Moon and saying the famous words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He passed away in 2012 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this publicity still (which has printing on the back) has been personally autographed (signed) by Neil Armstrong! Also note that many celebrities kept multiple 8" x 10" (or smaller) copies of good publicity images of themselves to sign for fans, and also many memorabilia shops sold such copy stills themselves. While they are not original theater-used stills, they are usually excellent clear copies, with a great shot of that celebrity in their heyday, which, when signed by the celebrity, makes for a wonderful framed picture on any fan's wall! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item many years ago from a reputable dealer. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we feel the signature is very likely authentic (and we compared it to many authentic signatures and it backs up what we say). As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
