Sidney Kingsley's Detective Story, the 1951 William Wyler (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) New York City police crime melodrama ("From the great Broadway stage hit!"; "William Wyler's Production of Sidney Kingsley's 'Detective Story'"; "the author of 'Dead End'"; "Based on the play by Sidney Kingsley"; about an incredibly hectic and eventful day in the life of a police detective) starring Kirk Douglas, Eleanor Parker (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), William Bendix, Cathy O'Donnell, Lee Grant (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; note that it was right after this movie that Lee Grant was blacklisted!), George MacReady, Craig Hill, Bert Freed, Michael Strong, Gerald Mohr, and Joseph Wiseman

Condition: good to very good. card has darkened slightly with age; minor creases, smudges, and scuffs throughout the card (more so around the edges); small area of surface paper loss in the credits area at lower right and in the middle left edge of the card; light tape stain in the right blank border; two pairs of staple holes in the upper right edge of the image background as well as a tack hole in the white background at left; 3/8" tear in the left edge (repaired with tape from the back)
