An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Mexican Movie Poster (measures 27" x 37 1/4" [69 x 95 cm]) (Learn More) El Gato sin Botas (literally translates to "The Cat Without Boots"), the 1957 Fernando Cortes Mexican romantic fantasy comedy starring Tin-Tan, Martha Valdes, Nono Arsu, Wolf Rubinsky, and Marcelo Chavez. Note that the title seems to literally translate to "The Cat Without Boots", and it seems to be some sort of sexy take-off on the classic "Puss in Boots" fairy tale, and the poster features great wild cartoonish art of a male and female feline cat with human faces, and both wearing boots! Artist: Ernesto Garcia Cabral Important Added Info: Note that we have only auctioned three examples of this rare "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie in all our years of auctioning, and the last example sold for $725! Note also that this is one of 17 Mexican posters we are currently auctioning (in 17 separate auctions). All are unbacked and unrestored and they include some nice titles. We have auctioned a lot of linenbacked Mexican posters in the past year, but for those who prefer them unbacked, this is a great opportunity to purchase unbacked Mexican posters (and our consignor does not have any more, so this is your only chance, until we are sent others from different consignors). Condition: good. The poster has a printing defect in the upper right that resulted in two thin vertical green lines running down the top half of the poster, with a partial third one in between them.
