Black Gold, the 1947 Phil Karlson oil drilling horse racing sports gambling melodrama ("Race Commentary by Clem McCarthy"; "In Glorious Cinecolor!"; "Original Story by Caryl Coleman") starring Anthony Quinn (in his first starring role), Katherine DeMille, Elyse Knox, Ducky Louie, Kane Richmond, and Moroni Olsen. Note that stars Anthony Quinn and Katharine DeMille were married to each other in real life, and that even though Quinn had been appearing in movies for 11 years, this was the first movie where he received top billing!

Important Added Info: Note that this is a great four-page trade ad taken out of a Kinematograph Weekly English trade magazine (we have a number of them in this set of auctions, and also some one-page English trade ads and a few English brochures). Studios would only rarely run these elaborate 4-page ads in issues of this magazine (usually they were either 1-page or 2-page), and they often had images not found on any of the regular movie posters (either English or U.S.). This 4-page trade ad was removed from a 1948 issue of this magazine, and it will look incredible displayed on the new owner's wall, but of course, they will have to decide which side to display.

Condition: very good. The ad was removed from a magazine (see above). It was the centerfold of the magazine so the pages are on a single sheet, and there are staple holes at the spine (see our image).
