An Original Vintage English Cigarette Card Album (measures 5" x 7 1/2" [13 x 19 cm]; contains 50 cards on 20 pages) (Learn More) An Album of Film Stars (First Series), the 1933 English cigarette card album ("With the Compliments of John Player & Sons") featuring 20 pages of 50 tipped-in color cigarette premium cards of popular movies stars including: Gary Cooper, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Clark Gable, Joan Crawford, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn, Kay Francis, Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, and many, many more! Each of the pages has a place for each card, and beneath it is a very nice small biography of that star, often telling what their latest movie is (which is how we can date this album to specifically 1933). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that although this album is not marked, it is the "first series" of these albums (we know because we are also auctioning, in separate auctions, an example of the second series and the third series). Condition: good to very good. All of the cards are in the album (none are missing).
