Brainstorm, the 1983 Douglas Trumbull science fiction (sci-fi) virtual-reality cyberpunk thriller ("Imagine a machine that records sights... Sounds... Sensations, thoughts... Feelings... Emotions, even your dreams and nightmares. Then, at the touch of a button, transfers these personal experiences from one mind to another. Any person. Any experience. Anything you can imagine."; "Imagine a machine that records feelings, emotions, even your hopes and dreams. And imagine that it can transfer these experiences from one mind to another..."; "The door to the mind is open"; "Brainstorm ...The Ultimate Experience") starring Christopher Walken, Natalie Wood (in her final movie), Louise Fletcher, Cliff Robertson, and Donald Hotton. Note that Natalie Wood was making a Hollywood comeback with this film, but died before completing it, and a stand-in was used. She tragically drowned under suspicious circumstances while on a yacht with co-star Walken and her husband Robert Wagner.
