An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Berkeley Square, the 1933 Frank Lloyd time travel fantasy romantic melodrama ("From the play by John L. Balderston"; about an American man in 1933 who inherits a property from his English ancestor with the same name as him, and once there, he is magically transported back to London in 1785, and he literally becomes his own ancestor, and he must fulfill that ancestor's destiny, which he knows, because before time traveling, he read the ancestor's diary) starring Leslie Howard (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film), Heather Angel, Valerie Taylor, Beryl Mercer, and Irene Browne. Note that this movie has many similarities to the 1946 Abbott & Costello movie "Time of Their Lives" and the 1980 Christopher Reeve/Jane Seymour movie "Somewhere in Time", and we would be very surprised if the screenwriters of those two movies had not watched this movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that first release 1933 posters and lobby cards from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only auctioned a half-sheet, a pressbook, and a few stills from this movie, and never any lobby cards at all, until we received this title card! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good. The card has slightly darkened. There are tack holes, creases, and smudges around the edges, with a few tack holes and smudges scattered in the middle right. There is a tiny vertical scuff mark in the girl's at bottom center and a few faint scuffs between the stars' chins. There is tiny paper loss in the top right corner, caused by rough removal of pins. There is a label on the back of the upper right corner. Certainly this card is an excellent candidate for professional restoration, because the smudges and stains can likely be removed chemically, and most of the other defects are relatively minor. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
