An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Service with the Colors, the 1940 B. Reeves Eason World War II (WWII) patriotic melodrama (a movie made by Warner Bros. to show its support for U.S. troops soon to fight in World War II; "Dedicated to the soldiers of the United States Army") starring Robert Armstrong, William Lundigan, Henry O'Neill, William Orr, Herbert Anderson, and George Haywood NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had defects which were repaired during the linenbacking process (which we describe below, as well as the quality of the restoration, if I thought there was something about the restoration worth commenting on!). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). there was a circular hole the size of a dime right near the center of the poster in the second "O" of "COLORS"; there was a long diagonal tear that ran from the right end of the top foldline to the middle of the poster, ending in the "V" of "SERVICE"; there was a 6" vertical tear in the bottom right corner of the poster just touching the bottom of the inset image; there were a few pinholes around the edges of the poster; there were blue dot stains throughout the yellow background area which look to be a minor printing defect. The poster was well linenbacked, and the above defects were well corrected and the poster looks quite nice! Learn More about condition grades
