New York Guard Day, the 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) War Bonds poster ("Saturday, April 20, 1918"; "Do your bit!"; "Land a hand - help your country"; "Buy liberty bonds") encouraging citizens to purchase war bonds, and featuring Edward Penfield art of cavalry soldiers.

Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this is one of a excellent collection of eight World War I "war bonds" posters which we were consigned by someone who bought them many years ago and we are auctioning them in eight separate auctions!

Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has unevenly darkened at left and it has a 2-3" tear at lower center that has been repaired with tape from the back. It is otherwise in generally nice condition.
