Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (measures 18" x 24"; 4 pages) (Learn More)

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, the classic 1923 Wallace Worsley Universal silent Paris France Notre Dame Cathedral romantic religious historical horror melodrama ( "'Mighty Epic of a Mighty Epoch'"; adapted from the equally classic novel by Victor Hugo) starring Lon Chaney Sr. (in the title role as "Quasimodo", the Hunchback of Notre Dame), Patsy Ruth Miller (as Esmerelda), Norman Kerry, Kate Lester, Elmo Lincoln (best remembered for being the very first actor to portray Tarzan in the movies in 1918), and Winifred Bryson. Note that there was a wonderful sound remake of this classic silent movie in 1939, with Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara in the lead roles.

Important Added Info: Note that this pressbook was issued around 1924, and this pressbook has ideas for theaters showing the movie as a return engagement and also for theaters showing it for the first time. A huge number of the original posters are pictured! Note that this pressbook is marked "5th Edition" at the top, indicating there were four earlier pressbooks published!
