eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 3w046 HOLY TERROR pressbook 1931 George O'Brien, Eilers, Humphrey Bogart biography, ultra rare! Date Sold 2/7/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Pressbook (pb; measures 12 1/2" x 18 3/4" [32 x 48 cm]; 8 pages) (Learn More) A Holy Terror, the 1931 Irving Cummings easterner-goes-west romantic love triangle adventure (about the son of a millionaire whose dad is murdered, and he flies out West to see what happened, and he crashes his plane into a girl's bedroom, and falls for her, which makes her boyfriend very jealous!) starring George O'Brien, Sally Eilers, Rita La Roy, James Kirkwood, and Humphrey Bogart. Note that young Humphrey Bogart was fifth billed in this movie, one of a small number of movies he made between 1931 and 1934, before giving up on Hollywood, and returning to the New York stage. Movie paper items from this film are incredibly rare, but we have auctioned a pressbook, so we know that Humphrey Bogart was not pictured or billed on any of the posters, although he was in at least one of the lobby cards. The producers of this movie did not find any room for an image of him in any of the 8 pages of the pressbook, nor were any of the articles about him, but they did have a section that says "Biographies in Brief", and Bogart gets a 14-line biography, which accurately describes what he had done prior to this time! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this pressbook (our description of the contents of the pressbook above comes from this very pressbook)! Not only that, but we have only previously auctioned a single still and a glass slide. Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners received pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut! Condition: fair, NO CUTS. The pressbook is complete and uncut. It was folded across the middle. It has light water staining scattered throughout, but fortunately, you can see all the images and read all the text through the water staining (see our images). Learn More about condition grades
