BUSTER KEATON (personality) BUSTER KEATON (personality) postcard OR search current auctions Auction History Result 7s109 BUSTER KEATON signed 2x5 postcard in 12x16 display 1920s ready to hang on the wall! Date Sold 7/8/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Autographed 2 1/4" x 4 3/4" [6 x 12 cm] Postcard in 12" x 16" Matted Display (Learn More) Buster Keaton ("The Great Stone Face") was an actor from the 1900s to the 1960s. He was (along with Charlie Chaplin) one of the two most famous comedians in silent movies, and he continued to make sound movies as well. He has too many wonderful movies to list, but some of his movies include: The General, Sherlock Jr., The Cameraman, and he made a very memorable final cameo appearance in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He passed away in 1966 at the age of 70. Important Added Info: The postcard has been personally autographed (signed) by Buster Keaton! It was nicely matted with a REPRODUCTION still to create a cool display that is ready to hang on the wall! The top mat is not attached to the back mat, which is a plus, because it means you can see the back of both items (because they were attached to the back of the top mat, which we have photographed; see our image). Our consignor is a longtime collector who acquired this autograph and then had it matted with the additional item. He does not have a certificate of authenticity, but we believe the signature to likely be authentic. Our consignor is a longtime collector of movie posters who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signatures were obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autographs are authentic. As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: fair to good. Mr. Keaton's signature has faded considerably, but it is still readable (see our super-sized image). Learn More about condition grades
