An Original 1949 (from the first German release of this movie) Vintage Theatrical Folded German Movie Poster (measures approximately 23" x 33") (Learn More)

The Winslow Boy, the classic 1948 (released in the U.S. in 1950) Anthony Asquith English pre-World War I (WWI) military Navy Naval academy courtroom legal lawyer melodrama ("First... A great play, Now... A great motion picture!"; "Winner of The New York Drama Critics Award!"; "From the play by Terence Rattigan"; about a prestigious English lawyer who takes the case of an English school boy who has been expelled from a major English private school for stealing but who swears his innocence) starring Robert Donat (as Sir Robert Morton), Cedric Hardwicke (as Arthur Winslow), Basil Radford (as Desmond Curry), Kathleen Harrison, Francis L. Sullivan, Margaret Leighton (as Catherine Winslow), Marie Lohr (as Grace Winslow), Neil North (as Ronnie Winslow), and Jack Watling (in the title role as Dickie Winslow, The Winslow Boy). Note that David Mamet did an extremely faithful remake in 1999 with Jeremy Northam and Rebecca Pidgeon in the lead roles, and it does justice to the original!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that for this German release, a completely different (and striking) artwork of a statue of a blindfolded woman holding the Scales of Justice was used (likely because the actors in the movie would have been unfamiliar to the German audiences). This German poster measures approximately 23" x 33" and is folded.

Condition: good.
